2018 Spring Creek Fire (Pictures Taken 7/3/2018)

Dear Valued Customers,

As Operations Superintendent for the Cucharas Sanitation and Water District (CSWD) I would like to give an update of CSWD’s water production during the Spring Fire. First of all, I want to assure everyone that our drinking water has not been affected! The drinking water plants and our waste water facility have backup generators and have been constantly running during the power outage. Our storage tanks are full and everything is just as it was when everyone was evacuated. We were able to supply water to the numerous fire fighter outfits during the time they were here. I have been in close contact with the State of Colorado Water Quality Control Division and have their constant support if we should need anything. We as employees and the CSWD Board of Directors have worked together, as a team, to assure all is well when residents are allowed to return to their homes.  If you should have any questions, please contact me at the number listed below and thank you for your support!
